Meet Shakil Shamshad — Motion Designer, VFX Artist & 3D Generalist Based in London

I'm Shakil — a London-based freelance motion designer, VFX artist, and 3D generalist with over a decade of experience turning creative visions into polished screen realities. My work has been screened at the Cannes Film Festival, broadcast nationally, and deployed by global brands including BT, Tesco, and World Rugby Union.

My Story

My obsession with animation started young — sketching Thundercats and Knight Rider off TV screens before I could spell "compositing." That fascination never left. I graduated from Ravensbourne College of Art and Communication in 2013 and built a freelance career that's spanned independent film, broadcast television, commercial advertising, and e-learning. In 2017, I worked on an independent film that was selected for the BFI Sci-Fi Festival and screened at the Cannes Film Festival — a milestone I'm proud to carry into every project since.

As a 3D generalist, I work across the full production pipeline — no handoffs, no gaps, no surprises.
